Auto X 4: Well here
is the first Equpie Rapide
auto cross of the 2002 season. Again out at Mineral Wells, but
this time I tried some new angles with video once again. The inside
driver shot is somewhat cruddy quality compared to before but
you can still see what is going on. Check out the new Heel&Toe
cam! Now you and I can see how I apply throttle, up shift and
downshift. I think it's pretty interesting as I borrowed the Idea
fomr the Best Motoring video series.
OH, I also mounted a Mic under the hood so I eliminated all wind
noise whatsoever. You can hear the Wastegate and turbo spool now.(5.9MB)new!
Passat
Auto X 3: This is
some fun video footage of the last auto cross of the 2001 season.
Although shot in late November, I am just now getting this video
edited and up for you guys, as the first AutoX of the 2002 season
is this weekend! This course was very fast for most AX's and I
actually hit third gear a few times during the runs. The surface
was killer on tires, and my heavy Passat just wasn't quite suited
for the upper level speeds of this course. I ended up about mid-pack
in the end. Check out some new angles on the action in this clip.
Finally dialing in my other video equipment. (6.9MB)

Ferrari track day: Here
is some footage I shot while at a Ferrari of Dallas/Houston hosted
customer track day. Even though it was a one day event (Sunday)
there was a good turn out. There was a constant gathering of folks
drooling over two very rare machines; the 550 Pininfarina Barchetta,
and a Black F50. This rather long-ish clip shows some of the highlights,
as well as a full lap around the track in Ric's awesomely fast
348ts. (10.1MB)

360 Modena Spider F1: The Ferrari 360 Modena Spider press
introduction at Texas Motor Speedway during the Ferrari Challenge
race weekend. This is a video of what happens when neXtestDrive.net
gets an exclusive drive with Ferrari NA reps as they demonstrate
the car's features and prowess. (7.1MB)

Auto X part two: Another Equipe
Rapide Auto Cross, only this time at Pennington Field. This
video shows a progression from my worst time of the day to my
second fastest official timed run. I didn't record my last and
fastest run...DOH! My "fun-runs" later were even faster,
but didn't count. Take a look and listen, you will be able to
see what weight reduction (^_^), different shift points, line,
and throttle application do to change the times. Oh...of course
seat time and practice made it better as the day wore on. (7.9MB)

Factory Video: Here's a video that Jim was able to dig up
